Default registering for the forum rules prob - 04-12-2008, 06:53 AM

appologies yet again.....

We appear to have "lost" the rules that people have to tick and agree to before they can register for the forum, in its place it just has this instead!! :

*********************LASC FORUMS**************************

Now have I done something (well within the realms of possibility!!) or is it something else?!

In addition, I have made a board availaible for guests to veiew (or will!) but at the moment they can see the info cenre stuff (ie whos online etc) which i don't want them to) I would prefer the whole info centre not be visible to guests but despite playing around with permissions etc have not yet found the solution!!

Yet again, most grateful for your help!!!

There's no need to apologize for pointing out a problem. These things happen, and with as many hardware issues as I've been through in the past month or so, I expect minor blowback like this.

Just for future reference, you can't change the signup agreement. I'm certain you specifically didn't do this, it was done by another forum, I'm just adding that to this post, a global list of "don't do this" :P . In fact, I may just post that somewhere in the forum.

Your registration agreement should look somewhat normal now

Tom

Brilliant thanks!

I break electrical hardware constantly (everything from computers to toasters!!) so when things don't work i generally expect it is something i have done to it!!!

Just wondering if you have the answer for hiding the info centre stuff from guests too please!!!

The stuff for guests, as far as I know can't be removed. Of course, you could always use a theme that doesn't show that information , but I'm not 100% sure that there is one.

Unfortunately, SMF doesn't have the user based priviledges that it could have like this
