[GENERIC] How do I add a theme or change my theme?

This post is intended to be non-specific , a general tutorial on how to add or change themes in any of the products that are currently supported by TJWI and Linux Tech Networks:

phpbb2 (phpbb4free.org)
Firstly, you want to go into your administrative panel. At the bottom, you will see a "styles admin" menu. Go into that.

From here, you will see the "Install a style" option. Click there. Browse the styles until you see one you're familliar with and want to use. Or you can do what I did, install them all, and choose a theme from there.

Then you will see an option (in the same menu) to set the forum default theme.
Once you've set the default theme, if you don't want your users changing the theme, then remove the unused ones, or set "override user theme" to true (in general board configuration).

Voilla, you now have a custom theme in your board. If you want us to install a theme for you (something we don't have listed), please, name the theme and post a download link to it in our support forums and we will look into it.

Please Note:

There are KNOWN issues with non-default phpbb3 themes, this may not work at this time, and changing your theme MAY cause issues!

In order to change your phpbb3 theme to anything we have listed, the steps are very simple.

1. Login to your forum
2. Go to your admin control panel (url at the bottom of your forum)
3. Click on the styles tab
   From here, you will see two lists. One of "installed styles", one of "not installed styles".
   
   If you know the style you want is installed, click on the "details" link, and check the "set default style" option
   
   
   If you know the style you want is NOT installed, then click on the "install" link, and follow the above step

You're done. Really, that's it!

SMF
To change the forum theme for a SMF forum, you need to follow two steps

1. Login to your admin area (link at the top of the forum usually)
2. Navigate to Configuration -> themes and layout
3. Select your theme in the "overall forum default" selection box

You may want to override your user's themes, to do that just reset everyone's theme to 'default'

Unrestricted Minds
In order to change your WPMU theme, you simply need to login to yourforum.unrestrictedminds.com/wp-admin/ , navigate to presentation, and select a new theme, then submit it. Your new theme will be displayed when you view your site next.

If you notice any problems with the themes above, please, post the problem in the appropriate area (ie: SMF/phpbb2/etc) so they can be evaluated. Make sure that you have your profile filled out with your url so that we can help you out a bit better
